Basuki Considers MRT Director Been Negligent

Jakarta Governor Basuki T Purnama was disappointed with performance of PT Mass Rapid Transit (MRT) Jakarta. They did a mistake in printing box girder and MRT land acquisition work backwards up to six months.

"They (PT Pelni) postpone MRT project up to six months. I think they were negligent and no control from director," he expressed, during executive meeting, at City Hall, Monday (3/21).

According to him, print error is supposed to be detected early thus its error cannot reach 57 girders. While for land acquisition, he has entrusted it to court or consignment. Because for the purposes of public facilities, consignment can be done. "There should be no reason, if there are obstacles, you can find out what should be done first. If not, it would be late," he exclaimed.

MRT Operation Predicted Delay

Aside that, there is also a pipe belongs to Energy and Mineral Resources Ministry that intersect with MRT construction. Basuki gives the opportunity for directors within one month to fix performance.

If it is not fixed, he will replace PT MRT director. "No more excuses. I will replace all," he closed.
